Since 2024, Resonate XM has partnered with the City of Summerside to transform Canada Day into a signature waterfront celebration. After a successful pivot to Heather Moyse Drive, the site is now home to an expanded 2025 event — featuring Blue Rodeo as headliners and a dynamic guest experience.

This year, Summerside has been selected by Canadian Heritage to represent Atlantic Canada in the national Canada Day broadcast — a proud milestone for the city and province.

Resonate XM is leading full-service event delivery: creative, production, logistics, sponsorship, and guest experience — showcasing what’s possible when bold ideas meet expert execution.

The Challenge

Summerside’s Canada Day has always been a local favourite, but the city had a bigger vision. The goal: transform the celebration into a signature destination event, create a flexible and weather-resilient site plan, and build national visibility that puts Summerside on the cultural map.

The Resonate XM Solution

In 2024, a weather-related pivot led us to reimagine the event footprint – relocating Canada Day to Summerside’s Spinnakers’ Landing area along Heather Moyse Drive. What started as a tactical response became a transformative success. The new layout didn’t just work — it thrilled residents, energized local businesses, and unlocked the waterfront’s potential as a premier celebration zone.

That year’s celebration was headlined by Alli Walker, a proud Island-born artist whose career is soaring from Summerside stages to Nashville spotlights. Her performance brought a powerful sense of homegrown pride — and set the tone for a new era of Canada Day in the City by the Sea.

In 2025, that waterfront location was the confirmed home of Canada Day in Summerside – and we’re building on that momentum in a big way. With Blue Rodeo headlining, improved production, and a refined site plan, the event delivered an elevated experience and greater impact.

The City’s commitment to excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed. The 2025 Canada Day production was selected by Canadian Heritage to represent Atlantic Canada in the national broadcast, placing Summerside and PEI on screens across the country.

Resonate XM is proudly leading every element of delivery – from funding, programming and production to sponsorship, logistics, guest services, and broadcast coordination: bringing strategic vision, calm execution, and bold creative energy to this year’s most exciting civic celebration across the nation.

The Resonate 'X' Factor'
