The Canada Games brings together more than 2,000 able-bodied athletes and athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities for the largest amateur multi-sport event in the country. Alternating between winter and summer, they span over 30 different sports to showcase the very best in Canadian sport and spirit. The provinces and territories rotate hosting rights for the games, with Prince Edward Island set to host the 2023 Canada Winter Games
Resonator CEO, Kim Doyle, was contracted by the client to serve as Festival Advisor for the Games’ IllumiNATION Festival, a 14-day celebration of PEI and Canadian arts and culture. In this role, Kim provided valuable support to the Festival staff team. Amongst her many contributions, Kim developed the operational plan for the regulatory bodies, liaised between the Games and regulatory reps, managed bar operations, monitored adherence to safety regulations, and acted as shift event lead.
Resonator Jillian O’Halloran served as volunteer lead of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as the Festival, Culture and Ceremonies representative on the Canada Games Services Committee.
